The Montgomerie Course at Carton House will be hosting the worlds foremost amateur stroke play event, the European Amateur Championship from August 8th to 11th 2012. It is the first time in the 25 year history of the event that Ireland have been the hosts. Previous well known winners have been Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia.
