Turnberry - Troon - St. Andrews Eight Day Tour This 8-day tour combines the West Coast championship courses with St. Andrews. Although the tour offers ballot on the Old Course this can be changed to guaranteed prime times including the benefits of The Old Course Experience (see the Purely St. Andrews Tour) at a supplement. Prices for guaranteed times will be given on application. As with all our tours, hotels and course can be changed to your requirements. Non-Golfers should refer to the 'Places to See' section. |

Arrive at Glasgow airport and collect your hire car. You will then make the short journey down the west coast to Turnberry where you will be staying at The Turnberry Hotel for the next 3 nights. Breakfast and dinner are included in your stay throughout this tour. Day 2 Having rested after your long flight and enjoyed a good hearty Turnberry breakfast you will make the short journey to Prestwick where you will play Prestwick Old Links, birthplace of the British Open Championship and, after St. Andrews, the most important golf course in the British Isles. Day 3 Today you will play the Ailsa Open Championship course, adjacent to your hotel. This magnificent links has hosted the Open Championship on three occasions as well as The European Open and other major events. It was the scene of Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus' famous 'Duel in the Sun' in the 1977 British Open. Day 4 After packing your bags you will make your way to Troon where you will play the Royal Troon Championship course, scene of Justin Leonard's victory in 1997. You will have, if you wish, the opportunity after your round on the championship course, to play the adjoining Portland course prior to making your way to St. Andrews and The Rusacks Hotel for the next 4 nights of your stay. Day 5 Today you will play the New Course, a highly rated links and sister to The Old Course. The course is full of character and has many memorable holes. Day 6 Today you will be entered into the ballot for play on the Old Course (guaranteed prime times can be arranged - see the 'Purely St. Andrews' itinerary). If you are unsuccessful in the ballot then golf on another course will be arranged. Day 7 Your last day of golf on your holiday will be over the Jubilee Course, another sister to the Old Course, again with its own character and charm. Day 8 Time to leave The Rusacks Hotel and make your way home or you may wish to integrate another package into your itinerary.
