Rufflets Country House – St Andrews Golf Accommodations
Rufflets has 24 individually styled and tastefully decorated bedrooms, including three suites, all furnished in a blend of contemporary and antique styles, creating a homely ambience.
Some rooms have four poster or canopied beds, the Gilroy Suite & Turret rooms have mini bars and five bathrooms have whirlpool jacuzzi baths. There is also a family suite consisting of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom with an interconnecting bathroom.
All rooms are equipped with satellite television, radio alarm, direct dial telephone, hospitality tray, trouser press and hairdryer. Extra touches to pamper guests include bathrobes, quality toiletries and a teddy bear called Rufus, who is the house mascot. Rufus welcomes each guest to their room to make them feel at home and if a guest wishes not to be disturbed by the housekeeping staff, Rufus is placed outside the bedroom door
Rufflets is a member of the Taste of Scotland and the Scotch Beef Club and the Garden Restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the past four years in recognition of the high standard of food available. Head chef, Mark Pollock, makes full use of Scotland’s natural larder when selecting produce for his daily changing menus.
Prime home-grown beef, lamb and venison, along with seafood and fish landed at East Neuk harbours feature regularly. Locally grown vegetables, soft fruits and herbs supplement home-grown seasonal garden produce.
All bedrooms are individually styled and decorated and unlike the larger chain hotels, are different shapes and sizes and have different outlooks, which adds to their charm.
