St. Andrews – CRAIL BALCOMIE – 5922 yards – par 69
One of the world’s oldest golf clubs, Crail Golfing Society was founded in February 1786 and initially comprised membership of 11 local golfers.
The course is a short links course situated at the Fifeness point, 2 miles east of Crail. The course follows the shoreline and you are never far the sea. Many holes climb and tumble along the waters edge. The 4th & 5th offer tempting short cuts across the shoreline and there are a number of holes with steep drops and climbs. A fine test of golf in remote surroundings make for a pleasant round.
