Coopershill House

Coopershill is a fine Georgian mansion, which has been home to seven generations of the O’Hara family since it was built in 1774. Quoted as being "Undoubtedly one of the most delightful and superbly comfortable Georgian houses in Ireland", it combines the spaciousness and elegance of an earlier age with the comfort and amenities of today.
Of the eight bedrooms, most have four poster or canopy beds and all have private bathrooms. The rooms retain their original regal dimensions and are furnished in the main with original 18th Century furniture, with some fascinating features such as an unusual Victorian free-standing rolltop bath complete with fully integrated cast iron shower ‘cubicle’.

Deliciously wholesome food, candle-lit dinners with family silver and crystal glass, a wide choice of wines, open log fires and personal attention from the owners all help to create the atmosphere and hospitality that is special to Coopershill.
On the 500 acre estate of farm and woodland, separation from the outside world seems complete. There are many delightful walks with abundant and undisturbed wildlife. Peacocks wander elegantly on the lawns and roost in the splendid trees around the house at night.

Facilities include an all-weather Tennis Court, Croquet Lawn and trout fishing on the River Arrow, which flows through the property. A boat and an excellent ghillie, are available for the trout fishing on nearby Lough Arrow
